Annette Messager I imagine you naked

“My drawings always seem to me ghostly apparitions, with just a sheet of paper, emptiness, ink, water...and chance…” confides Messager who, to ward off her own vulnerability, created for the installation Tête à Tête (2020) 77 drawings of skulls and skeletons moving from joy to melancholy. This edition, produced for the exhibition "Comme Si" dedicated to Annette Messager at the LaM – Lille Métropole Musée d’art moderne, d’art contemporain et d’art brut in spring and summer 2022, is reminiscent to one of the drawings of the installation.
