John Baldessari
Catalogue Raisonné Volume One: 1956-1974
This is the first of a multivolume catalogue raisonné documenting John Baldessari's paintings, works on paper, sculpture, photographs, and performance-based works. The catalogue does not cover films, videos, artist's books, prints, or multiples; however, they are included in the exhibition history and bibliography, which are comprehensive. This volume, containing 412 separate entries, surveys Baldessari's work from 1956 through 1974, from his start as a regional painter in California to his development into an internationally recognized artist working in a variety of media.
